Education Specialist
The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College seeks service-minded applicants who are committed to performing high-quality work to fill an Education Specialist vacancy within PDP's Department of Temporary Assistance Training.
The Education Specialist position delivers traditional and non-traditional education and training programs and supports program and NYS policy initiatives as assigned.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Delivery of classroom training throughout NYS;
Delivery of virtual classroom training using distance learning technology;
Research for and assistance in the design of curriculum, related materials, and visual aids for a variety of performance-based training;
Perform other duties as assigned to meet contract requirements.
Salary: Low to mid 40's depending on experience
Full-time position. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to work variable days and work hours and travel regularly throughout NYS required.
The position is stationed in Albany. Required statewide travel includes regular travel to New York City as needed in order to complete contract activities.

Job Description:
FUNCTION & SCOPE:
The Research Foundation for the State University of New York is seeking a highly motivated student to join our Corporate Training Team as a summer intern. The desired candidate will be engaged in the design of training curriculum to support Research Foundation employees at SUNY campuses. Candidate will become knowledgeable through hands-on use of current technology used in web-based training applications and supporting tools.
DUTIES:
Revise online self paced courses specific to RF business policies/procedures and ERP business system using Adobe Captivate 5.0
Create instructor-led training materials for classroom, virtual, and blended learning formats
Post courses in RF Learning Center (RFLC), the hosted Learning Management System (LMS)
Assist with the review and testing of all assigned training for instructional design and technical accuracy including validation against Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business system when required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or equivalent and currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, preferably in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Training, Education or related field. Students from the State University of New York colleges and universities preferred.
Knowledge of instructional design or adult learning principles is desired. Experienced in designing course materials for different delivery methods (live, virtual, self-paced) is desired. Knowledge of office procedures, good organization skills, ability to work independently and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel) Captivate, Snag IT, PhotoShop preferred.
